ELEMENTAL YOGA THERAPY
A unique approach that combines of the ancient practices of Yoga with Chinese Medicine, Breath, Meditation and Self-Observation.
The essence of life lies in the harmonious interweaving of your being with the boundless beauty and rhythms of nature.
According to traditional Chinese medicine, the Five Elements—earth, water, fire, air, and ether— not only shape the external world, but are also deeply woven into the fabric of your being.
Each element corresponds to specific organs, functions, and aspects of your inner self:
Earth is linked to rooting and safety
Water to emotions and fluidity
Fire to creativity and transformation
Air to change and letting go
Ether to spiritual connection and integration
These elements are not merely abstract forces but tangible energies flowing through your meridians system, which governs the activity of your body and your whole emotional landscape.
Through poses and sequences intentionally addressing this energetic system,
Elemental Yoga goes beyond the mere physical postures.
You are not only exercising, but you are also and foremost talking to your body in a language he understands, while at the same time re-learning to listen its subtlest voices.
The result is a deeply sincere somatic experience, aiming to support you through patterns and blockages to bring profound change to the body, emotions and mind, while at the same time align your health with internal and external seasonal changes and natural rhythms.
-
Elemental Yoga is not associated with a specific yoga style. Instead, this holistic somatic approach can be integrated into different styles of movement depending on: specific needs, time of the day and period of the year.
My yoga-inspired movement practices wave together a lifelong journey of somatic disciplines and explorations.
Classes can have different levels and intensity, but they are all meant to be Accessible and Safe, so you can
have an EXPERIENCE OF YOURSELF and
Concentrate more on WHAT YOU FEEL than on what your shape looks like, giving your system the time to embody the pose and disclose it. -
These classes are meant to match the more dynamic energy we have in the morning and during daytime.
We will intentionally move through standing poses, active breathing and some dynamic body flows to create heat and move stagnant energy.
The class will always end with a time of relaxation, allowing the body to slow down and integrate the experience. -
Energetically matching the 2nd half of the day, when the energies of our bodies start to collect inward, they mainly take place on the ground. While maintaining a medium level of intensity, these classes avoid standing poses and focus on creating more “internal” heat through time and breath.
A 1:1 THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
Elemental Yga Therapy embraces the holistic philosophy that we are all created uniquely and therefore we need individual and personal attention.
“Healing, in its true essence, is a test of understanding.
Understanding ourselves and how we can actively contribute to our health, as much as we have unconsciously contributed to our illness”.
-Jeffrey Chong Yuen-

"To my preferred styles of vinyasa flows and power yoga, Giulia added the very important element of ‘honesty’.
This honesty element has been a great contribution to a much stronger focus in my poses.
Since I started practising with her, I know my body better and feel more in control.
Thankful for those teachings and contribution to my journey in yoga."
